Ronan’s POV

“I am still not confident that this is the right thing to do, Aunt Celine. Please take care of yourself. I will write you from time to time.” I said holding up her hands.

She sniffed back a tear and embraced me. “Please be careful, Ronan. You are surrounded by enemies. I will keep praying to the goddess to protect you. Make sure to protect Fiona too. You are all she has.”

I nodded, patting her back. “I have heard all you said, Aunt. You should go now.” I urged, helping her into the carriage.

As I watched it gallop away a part of me felt unsteady. Maybe I should send some guards after her to ensure she arrives at her new home. But at the same time, I don’t want to attract too much attention to her. It is safer. As I turned to walk away, Timon cleared his throat next to me. I stopped in my tracks.
