CHAPTER 6- Police Stations And First Meetings?

Stephan POV

Unfortunately, the footage didn’t tell me much about where Isabella had escaped to, I was able to get a good look at the car and I could tell it was a normal airport taxi so once again nothing fucking useful. But before I got all angry and broke something I realized I could track the number plate to find the driver and ask him where he dropped her off.

Suddenly my phone started ringing cutting off my brilliant scheming, I groaned, annoyed at whoever decided now was a good time to call when I was clearly in the middle of coming up with a way to hunt that driver down.

“What.”

“Is that how you always answer the phone? No wonder everyone’s afraid of you.”

“I’m not in the mood for your games Ava, what do you want?”

“I want a new house in the middle of Paris, oh and a hot new Parisian boyfriend to go with the house.”

“If you called to annoy someone, call Henrik. I’m in the middle of something, so unless you have something to say that’s important or worth my time then hang up.”

“Okay, okay no need to get mad, I just wanted to tell you that you have to pick us up at 8 pm.”

“Ava ask Zahra or Henrik or even our fucking driver to pick you up…….and what do you mean ‘we’? Are you with someone right now? Without your bodyguards!”

“Yes, I’m with someone, but it’s okay Stephano, It’s one of my frie-”

I cut her off to ask “have we ever met this friend?” and judging by the prolonged silence I got the impression that the answer was a big NO.

“That’s it I’m coming to pick you up now.”

“Wait, what? No Stephan I’m fine, plus you don’t even know where I am.”

“You have your location on Snapchat on so I know exactly where you are, and I will be there in 15 minutes.”

I didn’t give her a chance to answer and instead I cut the call, told the Police Commissioner to d******d the footage and email the footage to me, and then walked to my car so I could go and pick up Ava from wherever she was and to see which one of her psycho friends had her now.

Usually, one of the first things they would tell you about driving in Rome was to never speed because there were unsuspecting tourists on every street at all times of the day and you could accidently hit one of them if you drove above the speed limit.

However, I was a man who read the rules just to know the best ways to break them, so you better believe the only time I drove the speed limit was when I had a bullet stuck in my arm and I couldn’t move it too much.

That’s why I was on one of Rome’s busiest streets going way above the speed limit, and honking every once in a while, to get those fucking tourists out of my way, not that I minded killing them, but it would be a fucking nightmare to clean up the blood during the day and Zahra would get mad at me and give me that stupid disappointed look of hers that always seems to haunt your soul and make you want to beg for her forgiveness.

I looked back at my house so I could get Ava’s exact location and found that she was at a hotel nearby, which really pissed me off because right now was not the time to be having hookups.

------ Time Skip -----

As soon as I walked into the hotel lobby, I got my phone out and called Ava again, and of course she didn’t pick up, honestly, she’s always on her I*******m vlogging, but when I need something from her, she suddenly forgets how to use a phone.

Just as I was about the ring the bell and call the receptionist, I felt a hesitant tap on my back.

“What?” I growled turning around, only to be met with the sight of the beautiful eyes I had been dreaming of all these years.

All of my anger starting draining away, I mean how can you even stay angry when in the presence of an angel. I took a minute to look at her, drinking her in as if I was a starving man. She looked just as exquisite as I remember, some how she hadn’t aged at all and still looked like the girl I fell in love with all those years ago.

I had to remind myself not to be too excited because I hadn’t even introduced myself to my future wife yet and that was very rude of me so I decided to quickly rectify that and gently grabbed her soft hands to kiss her knuckles.

“Hello Tesoro, my name is Stephan, and who might you be?” I asked pretending as if I didn’t know anything about her even though I’ve memorized everything from her favorite color to her shoe size in a few hours yesterday.

I closed my eyes while waiting for a response, begging in my head to just finally be able to hear her sweet voice, but after a minute of no response I opened my eyes again to discover that she had vanished once again.

All of my forgotten anger came back tenfold with a small lingering of sadness, why would she run from me? Did she know who I was and was perhaps afraid that I would hurt her?

Unfortunately, before I could go on a murder spree or a rampage, I heard a familiar voice coming from behind me, “Hey Bella what’s taking you so long I thought you just went down to get an extra blanket…..Stephan?”

I spun around to see Ava’s shocked face, and immediately all the pieces clicked, Ava’s friend from America coming, her coincidently staying at this very hotel, my encounter with my queen and her reaction to me. With all this in my mind I looked Ava dead in the eye and said, “Explain NOW.”
