Arden had just finished explaining everything to Aurora that Mason had brought to his attention Aurora sat on the corner of the bed. Arden stood next to her. He could feel her conflicting emotions as they passed over her. Arden was worried as Aurora had a stone-cold expression on her face but her emotions were anything but.

"Please say something," Arden finally said. He could no longer take his mate's silence.

"What is there to say?" Aurora asked. Arden took two steps towards her, but Aurora suddenly stood and walked over to the window. Their room overlooked the back of the pack house. Aurora could see Eli playing in the grass and Jack watching him nearby.

Arden had stayed where he was. He knew that Aurora was the type of woman who needed space in order to think. She would come to him when she chose. "I am sorry that you and Eli are being put in this position," Arden finally said. He knew it was not his fault, but it did not mean that he was any less sorry.
