Forty One

I felt the vibration of my phone so I opened my bag to look for it. It was Jc calling. I realized I hadn’t called him since I woke up, even though I’ve eaten and everything, I didn’t even inform Lukret.

“Hel-” he immediately interrupted me.

“Hey! Are you okay? Why aren’t you at the hospital? Did your husband take you? Hihi!” he teased, so I frowned. He’s crazy, as always.

“You’re crazy! What did you say about me having a husband? I don’t even have a ring yet, and I’m already a wife? Are you jumping ahead?” I heard him chuckle. If he were here right now, I would have punched him. How annoying.

“You’re pretending! I bet you’re thrilled, right?” he teased me more. I wanted to strangle him.

“I’ll slap you, Jc. And what will you bet? You don’t even have a… you know.” I laughed as he shouted on the other line.

“You’re so rude! Shut up! Get lost! Get lost!” he shouted, and I ended the call. I was happy to annoy him again. It’s funny to irritate him; I can imagine his face.
