Forty Two

I woke up because my phone kept ringing on the side table. I looked at Jaxon’s spot, but he wasn’t there. Where is that man going at five in the morning? Hays.

I rolled over and groped for my phone. It was Jc again, ugh! This human being! He’s so annoying!

“What?” I answered grumpily. I really can’t control my mood these past few days, I get triggered so easily.

“You’re such a bitch, you know that? We’re coming to your house! I brought fruits for my godchild!” I suddenly laughed at that. “Where are you now? Did you get rained on? Which house are we going to?” This guy is really crazy.

“You’re crazy. We’re at Jaxon’s condo. Tell me when you’re here, I’ll come out.” I couldn’t tell him why he couldn’t come in right away. Two weeks after I told Jaxon about my pregnancy, I thought he wouldn’t accept it and would just disappear like a bubble, but his response was way too opposite from what I was expecting.

He called his mom, his grandparents, even his friends. He paced around the room
