28 - An almost re-encounter.

"You do know that I'm at the club, yeah? I'm still searching for the father of the baby, and—" Phoenix was about to lay down her frustration, since she had been at the club for about five hours now, and she had not seen the man she was in search of. But Isis was fast to cut in and voiced out her own rants first.

"He broke up with me, Phoenix. He broke up with me," Isis replied from the other side of the phone with a very shaky voice, and anyone could tell that she had been crying.

"He broke up? James? What the..." Her voice trailed off as she thought about the situation her friend would be at the moment. "I'm on my way. Stay still, okay? And be fine for me till I'm back. I promise, I'd be there in some minutes. Be fine, okay? Hang in there for me."

"Okay," Isis replied faintly and hung up the call.

As soon as she hung up the call, Pheonix's head got disorganized. The last time she heard Isis cry that bad was when she lost a close relative, and there she was all alone at home.
