Clarissa POV

"Do you need to go, Charity? I'm going to be alone at home," I pout my lips and whine when she told me she is going out with that CEO guy. It's still afternoon, so can't she leave it till evening?

"Can't you go in the evening? It should be a dinner date, and not lunch, right?" I try to convince her, but how bad of her to just ignore me and add makeup to her face like she is going to see her boyfriend. Gosh! She is so annoying.

"You called in-law, and he said he will be here soon, so chill and let me go to this date. Who knows, maybe he wants to see how pretty I am in the afternoon. Besides, it doesn't make sense to go on a date and come back early, knowing we are in someone's house," She finally replies to me, and I sigh. I won't be able to convince her, so I would just have to give up at this point, but what if I get attacked again? What will happen to me? What if I die here before Miguel comes back?
