Clarissa POV

I woke up quite early today and decided to bathe, since Charity has taken care of the chores as usual. I can't hide the fact that I'm excited about meeting Miguel today, but then, it still doesn't change the fact that he is not a human.

"You are only going there because Charity insisted," I remind myself as I look at my reflection in the mirror. I'm currently alone in the room, sinks Charity is preparing breakfast in the kitchen. I told her I wasn't hungry, but insisted that I eat before I leave the house. After I'm done getting dressed, I finally leave the room and head to the kitchen, but luckily, she is already in the dining room, dishing out the food.

"Perfect timing. Come here, come and have a seat. You will love the food I made," She smiles at me as she pulls out the chair for me to sit on, and I roll my eyes.
