Hell no.

"Forget it," I said flatly, rising to my feet. I moved towards the side of the table so I could leave the room but she immediately jumped to her feet to stop me from walking out. I paused, her raised hands just a hair's width away from making contact with my chest. I dropped my gaze down to her hands and then back up to meet her eyes. She tentatively lowered it, taking a step back to put some distance between us.

The air crackled.

Her eyebrows lifted. "Just hear me out," She said calmly. "Please." I laced my arms across my chest, spreading my legs apart and signaling that she could go on. She mumurred her thanks and pushed her hair behind her ears, taking a deep breath. At least she didn't seem all that surprised by my reaction. It was a good thing she had known better than to think I would easily agree with her suggestion.
