Episode 53

Frederick's expression was fierce and unforgiving as he stood before Judah. His eyes were narrowed, and his jaw was clenched. Judah could feel the anger radiating off of him in waves.

Frederick had sent DJ to call him that morning.

“Did you tell him about the letter?" Judah asked him on their way to meet Frederick.

“I could never be that insensitive,” he said. “I may not have given you my word, but I could not hurt you.”

“Thank you,” Judah said, heaving a sigh of relief. Even though he didn't know why Frederick sent for him, he could appear before him looking relieved, knowing that his secret had not been blown open.
