Alpha Keanu’s POVJade was still asleep when I woke up. My eyes were glued to her throughout the night. I had moved her to the bed and draped a blanket over her as soon as she fell asleep and I slept on the couch. She was such a stubborn little human. I stood outside the door of the new room wondering if the Alpha would let Sheila come see me here sometimes. I watched as some girls finished up with their cleaning and changed the sheets. I honestly felt bad watching them do it and judging from the huge scowls on their face, they weren’t the happiest either. I would have chosen to clean it myself but just like yesterday, I woke up very late again. The softness of his bed elongated my stay in dreamland and by the time I woke up and walked in here, the girls were rounding up.I returned to the Alpha’s room to eat and then shower because I didn’t have any supplies I would use in the new room. He sat and ate with me only taking a small amount of food. He finished up fast and before he could leave the room I stopped him.“Can my friend, Sheila come up here sometimes?” That room was very big, maybe not at big as his but still it was too big and lonely. “Excuse me?” I almost yelled.“What do you mean she would be staying in my room?”“Can you please give us some minutes?” He turned to her.“Sure, I’ll step out” She stood flashing me a wicked smile as she walked past me. “That room was a guest room used to welcome special visitors” He continued after she closed the door.Oh, so she is special. This is ridiculous. Is he chasing me out for her to stay in the room or is he expecting me to share the room with her?“And where do you expect me to stay? He hastily walked into his closet, appearing seconds later with a shirt on and unbuttoned.“Who did that to you?” I was still in shock. His eyes darted back and forth between mine, taking in the horror on my face.“It’s none of your business,” he said before walking out of the room. I stared after the locked door. What kind of monster did that to him? The scars were fully healed but his back has been destroyed. I waited for him to return but he didn’t and so I went back to sleep. Waking up next, I noticed he wasn’t still back yet. I walked out of the room, wondering where he slept. I didn’t have to wonder for too long because I met him downstairs heading outside the castle with Amice beside him. Did he sleep in her room? I was confused about how they were together this early. Upon getting closer to them, I heard Amice ask.“Can I see the greenhouse? I moved back into the guest room after Amice left, it was no longer news to me that the heat period affects me too. Moving out of the Alpha’s room was definitely a good idea, to avoid bending to my body’s needs in this heat. I was finally good and my wound fully closed up with the passing of days. I had cried myself to sleep on the floor and my body wasn’t happy about it. My head was aching terribly and my body was weak. I was glad I managed to get up here last night without anybody noticing my state. All I wanted to do right now was stay back in bed till I felt better but if I missed my training with the Alpha, he’d definitely come to check on me and that was the last thing I needed, Explaining what happened to me. I couldn’t shake off the bad feeling I had for some reason. I was worried about Aztec and also worried about Keanu. I didn’t sleep a wink throughout the night and it was now morning.
