Immediately he turns to face me as if he sensed my gaze on him, he walks to me with a grin on his face. "You made it."
"Yeah. I was about to ditch you." I joke, as he tugs me to a spot under the shade of a tree with a picnic basket atop of a blanket.
Suddenly, wheels start spinning in my head and I turn to look at him, "I specifically said this is not a date."
He scratches the back of his head, before shrugging nonchalantly, "Well, I know you said that and I remember specifically saying that I only wanted to talk to you….but then we both had a long day at school and I felt like food and a few fruits and chocolates would...yuuno." He trails off, suddenly looking embarrassed.
