Ted's POV

My mate nods. “You met me three, maybe four, minutes ago and you are taking about forever?”

“Okay, I get that this is pretty strange to you. But give me half a chance and you will see it’s really not,” I smile at her.

“I don’t know why I feel so comfortable around you so suddenly,” She looks more afraid then comfortable, but hey, it is what it is.

“I guess this is going to come as a full-on shock to you, but I feel very comfortable around you too,” I tell her. “What can I do to convince you that I’m okay, you are okay, and having lunch with me and my friends is all okay?”

“You are the owner of the hotel I work at. I know you like to sleep around. How do you know I am not just going with you to keep my job, so I don’t have to look for another one?” She asks me and now I get to smile.

“Because I am aware that three other hotels here in Dallas have already tried to poach you and you could have another job in a second,” I tell her. “I’m out of touch, but not really.”
