“I have to get my mother ready for her brother’s death and we need to seal up the pack tight,” Mom tells Dad.

Dad nods to agree.

“So, you agree, we can’t give her Perfect,” I say, surprising them and me.

“Of course, we can’t,” Mom shakes her head.

“Son, we would never sacrifice anyone,” Dad tells me. “There isn’t much we can do for Solen, but we can keep everyone else we love safe.”

“Especially now that we know the who and what she wants,” Mom says. “I will need Quinn to help manage Mom’s pain.”

“I’m sure Perfect will be willing to help in any way she can,” I nod.

We go out to tell everyone.
