20-Night Two

Sabrina's POV

3.5 years before

Jorge was over for dinner. I had smoked a brisket, with smoked corn. I had collard greens, mashed potatoes and a smoked apple pie.

“Sabrina, where did you learn to smoke an apple pie?” Jorge asks, eating a second slice.

I can’t help but laugh. “Mom’s side of the family are pit masters in Austin. Solen is actually better with the smoker than I am.”

“Thank you, sis,” Solan smiles. “Seriously dude, my sister can throw down with the best pit masters in the world. She is a Texas girl.”

“Well, everything is better in Texas,” Jorge smiles at me. “Including the men. I’ll clean the dishes tonight.”

“Man, we have a dishwasher,” Solan tells him. “Come on, I’ll help you load it.”

The guys loaded the dishwasher and I set up game night.

They were coming in with coffees, when I felt the first pain.

“You good?” Jorge asks, handing me my drink.

“Yeah,” I tell him with a smile. I love it when Jorge smiles at me.

We were laughing about my latest pay in Cards Against Hum
