I Want Her In My Bed

“I want her in my bed ” Mr. Vertigo's eerie voice came out again, this time with more force and authority.

Dave stood speechlessly at a spot, he could not understand what Mr. Vertigo is talking about, but his determination centers to secure this deal made him push forward.

“Mr. Vertigo, can you come clean already? I don't understand, who you,  are referring to, I need you to stop beating around the bush already, tell me what you want in plain words.

“I can't believe, You are the Alpha of such a great pack, despite being the leader of a huge pack, you can't understand a simple riddle ” 

Dave clenched his fists with anger, after Mr. Vertigo, insulted him directly to his face. He wanted to retaliate but he remembers what Dino told him about Pack, and the blame games, so he tried to keep his anger under control.

“ I'm sorry Mr. Vertigo, but I don't think, I have what you are requesting for,” Dave said groggily, his tone was hoarse and cold, but he tried to hide it as much as possible. after that he swerves to leave, but was stopped by the next statement that Mr. Vertigo made.

“I want the girl, who was with you at the mall, in exchange for the Vitrano supplies ", he replied nonchalantly, picking up the glass of wine again.

“I'm sorry, but I think you are mistaken about this " Dave said apologetically and made to leave, but he was held back.

“ Do you take me for a fool? or something? his eerie voice rang out irritated, “ Zendaya!! is under your care ” he reveals, Dave had a stunned look on his face z the moment Mr vertigo mentioned her name.

“ Zendaya!! That's right, her name is Zendaya, such a beautiful name for a beautiful soul, he compliments with a seductive smirk on his face.

Dave strutted, glaring at him disgustfully, he couldn't believe that Mr. Vertigo would stoop so low, as low as keeping a tab on him, not only that the thought of him caressing Zendaya with his filthy hands sent burning embers of fire directly into Dave's heart, he felt revolted.

  “ hey don't give me that look, you know, I'm right!! he said laughing historically.

Dave couldn't understand what was amusing him and each passing second seem more like punishment to him, so he stood up from his seat, attempting to leave, he needed to catch a breath of fresh. 

“ hey, I'm not done talking yet, Mr. Vertigo said firmly standing up from his chair, “ don't even think of trying to fool me Alpha, I know everything about the lunatic girl, well!!! She might be a lunatic, but she is hotter than all the girls in the city, moreover, she has a killer body, a beautiful face, and a crazy mind, what a weird combination!! a night with her won't be a bad idea, he exclaimed closing his eyes to imagine the moment, “ I guess this is the real reason why you keep running after her like a stray dog, you want to have a share of the cake, right? he cackles, sparing him a sinister glance “ you don't have to worry about it, I'm just going to have her to myself, for a night, after that, you can have her to yourself, no problem” he said scornfully picking up his glass from the table to sip it.

Dave, who has been fuming with anger all this while, couldn't control his anger anymore, he moved closer to the absent-minded figure of Mr.vertigo, he gave him a heavy punch in the face, he lost his balance immediately he was met with the punch in the face, he fell off from the top of the table he was sitting on, he landed on the floor with a thud sound.

Me. vertigo was still in a daze about what just happened, he doubted his mind, but the excruciating pain that accompanies the fall, made him realize it, while he was still recovering from the fall, Dave went over to him, grab him by the collar, he dragged him roughly until he stood upon his feet, Dave landed another heavy punch on his face again, kicking and slapping him vigorously, he was struggling to say something in his defense but words kept failing him, and the sharp pains from the constant beatings rendered him voiceless.

“ How, how, how dare you? How dare you even think of laying your filthy hands-on Zendaya?” What made you think that you are worthy of touching a strand of her hair? Dave implores while still throwing punches at him.

“ Do you think, you can always have your way? Tell me do you think every girl is your play toy?” Dave fumes agitatedly throwing the last punch at him, before letting him fall involuntarily to the floor.

Me. Vertigo lay on the floor like a helpless kitten, whose food was taken from it and also got beaten by the thief, he was bleeding from the nose, his eyes look extremely tired and puffy, his face looks swollen and damaged his lips has been injured and blood was gushing out from one corner of his lips, he looked haggard, a different sight of the gentleman looks he had on earlier.

He managed to get up from the floor, holding the edge of the table as his support system, when he finally balanced his steps, he touched the corner of his lips which has been Incapacitated. A sudden look of anger took over his face, he frowns his brow, using his finger to clean off the blood gushing out of his mouth, he shuddered for a while, clenching his fists after seeing the blood he cleaned off from his lips, then he utters these words through a gritted teeth. 

“ you dare to hit me? You have the nerves to raise your hands to Haden Vertigo?  he raised series of questions at one go, fuming within conceited anger flashing across his eyes, now and then, making him look destructive.

“ you might be the Alpha, but I rule over the country and you know what will happen if I decided to go ahead with my plans, right?” he asked chuckling painfully 

“I hit you once, I don't have any regrets, and I will hit you again if the need arises, I don't care about your fucking empty threatens” Dave lashes at him,  without a sign of remorse, and those cause a pang of pain to overshadowed the fake brave act Mr.vertigo was putting on.   

The moment Dave said these words to him, he became green with rage.

“I'm going to show you what I'm capable of, I will show you who the real king is,” Vertigo said kneading his injured lips.

“ what will you do? Hump? Do you think you can get every girl to your fucking damn bed? Dave asked trying to control his angry wolf, who has been growling and fighting for dominance.

The mere imagination of seeing Vertigo closer to Zendaya sent a hot shiver down his spine, his eyes became as cold as water, he bent his head, hitting his chest vigorously.

He tried hard to stop his hidden demon from finding its way out.

He has been keeping his anger under control for the past few years, but after what Mr.vertigo said, he didn't know if he should continue being the kind Alpha that he is or let his anger overshadow his sense of reasoning.

On one hand, he needs to keep his cool and strike the deal, then his pack will not lack Vitrano when the season arrives, and on the other hand, he has to fight for the dignity of a woman, which Mr. Vertigo is trying to take advantage of, different thought kept running through his mind, while his head was still bow.

Should he apologized to Mr. Vertigo and strike the deal? or leave this place? he thought.

When Mr. Vertigo saw how deep in thought Dave was, he had a look of satisfaction on his face, he twitched, then moved closer to him with a grimace on.

“Hey, don't worry, I'm not going to take, what you did earlier as an offense, I understand that you are young and naive, so I'm going to give you another chance to rectify the mistake you made, you will be a good boy and do as I said, He said sarcastically.

Thereupon, he picked up his glass, with the thought that he has been able to convince Dave to give in to his demands.

  He waited patiently for a while, but when he didn't get a response, he looked up at Dave. The moment his eyes came across Dave's, he became scared, and tremble, subsequently, he stood his ground feeling a bit terrified, but he tried as much to hide his fears.

When Dave peeked up at him, his eyes were red and looks terrifying, his eyes were emanating fire and if anyone sees him at that moment, they would think he has been possessed by a monster.

This is what happens when he gets possessive about something, and someone tries to take it away. Or when he gets furious.

“So you think, you can talk your way through every time,  Hump? Dave asked moving closer to him, the color of his eyes has changed back to their normal color “ how dare you to think of threatening an Alpha ”he raised his hand to hit him again, but the door suddenly opened, Josh Hamilton came into the room, breathing heavily, he was accompanied by some guards and they all look dangerous.

Dave halted in his tracks and moved backward in a retreating manner, raising his hands.

“ Sir, are you okay? Oh my goodness, this looks serious!!! Should I call the doctor? Are you alright? Josh Hamilton beseeched, with a panicky voice and sincere concern in his eyes.

“How do you mean? do I look okay to you? Must you act stupid every time? get out, who asked you to come in with these guys? Me. Vertigo snaps at him, pointing his fingers towards the exit.

“ I heard some noise coming from this place, so I thought you were in danger and needed help, that's why I came in with these guys, I.....

“ enough!!! Mr. Vertigo screams, interrupting Josh Hamilton, he was fed up with the explanation. “ I've had enough of your nonsense, now get out with these guys,  right now, he orders and they left instantly, locking the door behind them.

“ If you are going to use this as an excuse to stop the supply of Vitrano, then I will get somewhere then, Dave said, swerved to leave.

“you will get somewhere else? Did I hear you say that? he inquired laughing sarcastically, where will you get one? tell me!!! I am in charge of everything around here, no one will supply the products to you if I forbade them from doing so” he utters with a scornful look.

Dave didn't have the strength to continue arguing with him, he made to leave his office, then he spoke again, causing Dave to thwart his movements.

“All this could have been avoided if you had just listened to me, he moved close to him, wiping off some dirt from his clothes and straighten the edge of his collar. “give me what I want, and I will give you what your entire pack needs, he said, holding the collar tightly against his throat, causing him to choke.

His breathing became hoarse when he found an opportunity, he threw a heavy punch at him, sending him straight to the floor, then he found his way to the exit.

“I will make sure you regret this, you will regret choosing that wretched girl over me”

“ I will make sure that you will come crawling back, to plead with, me to have mercy on you. 

“ you better watch your back, because I'm coming, I will get her,  whether willingly or not, I will make sure to get my hands on her, I will crush your egos.

Mr. Vertigo kept yelling after him.

Dino ran up to Dave when he saw him coming towards him with a disdainful look on his face. He looks upset.

Dino wanted to ask him several questions, but when he noticed the disapproving expression, he kept his questions to himself and followed him to the car.

The moment they got in, “To the Hacienda Mall ” Dave said nonchalantly without any emotion in his voice.

Subsequently, the atmosphere became cold, no one said anything to the other person or even music to lighten up the atmosphere. 

They kept driving silently all around the City mall and the commcenterscentres. After hours of relentless search, Dave enunciated.

“he wants her in exchange for the supplies,” he said 

“wants her? Wants who? Dino asked with confusion evident on his face.

“Zendaya ” Dave utters, turning his face away from the road, he peeked out of the car, and cold air blew across his face, causing the little hair around his forehead to rise. 

“so what are we going to do now? Dino asked with concern mixed with worry, he knows how the people would react if they found out the reasons behind everything.

He asked after a cold silence that engulfed them.

They would develop the urge to hurt Zendaya.

“look for another supplier, of course! Dave replied without taking his eyes off the views

“Dave, you and know, it's not possible to get someone who would go against a powerful man like Vertigo, there is no way we would find someone in such a short period ”, I'm afraid of what the people would do if they find out what happened here.

“what do you expect me to do, then? He asked turning swiftly to look at Dino, “Do you mean I just sacrifice her for their sakes? he asked again glaring at Dino.

“No, that's not what I meant to say, it's just that........

“I've had enough of this, not another word from you, Dave orders authoritatively, shutting Dino up in the process.

“I'm sorry, Alpha, Dino apologizes, bowing his head slightly.

“Go to all the malls in the city, I need to find a supply as soon as possible, Dave orders nonchalantly, and David dove off immediately.

They drove around the city for hours, looking for a new supplier, but each time, someone intends to strike a deal with them, the boss would ask them not, due to the fear of their license being commandeered.

“I'm sorry Mr. Dave, but we cannot assist you with this, our hands are tied.

“I'm sorry, but we have been ordered not to do any business with you, or anything at all, otherwise, we will be in big trouble”

The attendee said with a look of horror on his face, his voice was shaky and his hands trembled, he bowed his head fearfully, trying to avert eye contact with the Alpha, but there is nothing he could do about it.

Dave and Dino left the mall sadly, they have become so tired after trying to get a supply all morning, it was already late in the evening. 

Dave decided to head back home to prepare for another day of the relentless search.

“let's head home, he orders with a cold tone, and David zoomed off quickly.
