The guy who had expressed interest in Mimie at the coffee shop, coming out of the hospital he saw Anita crying on the hospital bench.

Out of sympathy,not knowing what had been the reason for her tears he walked towards her and tried to comfort her, he had assured her that all would be well.

He had asked her the reason for her tears but she kept on crying ignoring his question. He sensed she was in no mood to talk about what made her cry, so he let her be and gave reassuring words that could make her see things differently.

Anita, whose tears had finally come to a stop, thanked him for kind words and walked back home dragging her feets as he went.

She entered the house and in the absence of Gracie,she threw herself on the bed and resumed crying.

She had pretended to be okay so he would let her be. She wanted to be alone and not be comforted by the kind words of a nice man.

She cried and uttered curse words at herself, she had called herself a simp.
