With a defiant twist, Lily ripped off her high heels. Her flesh-colored stockings stood out against the pavement as she limped toward the courthouse.

Grace and Priscilla hurriedly followed her inside.

The trial began moments later.

Vivianne produced a report from the Department of Health. She thrust it toward the judge and said, "I have not defamed Miller Corporation; I possess solid proof.
