Octavia’s POV

I hope today goes well for Warren’s sake, your fifteenth birthday is possibly the most important day in a shifters life, it’s when our inner wolf awakens and we manifest for the first time.

I should probably mention that not everyone has a successful first shift, sometimes though not often in an Alpha bloodline like ours; because our ancestor is the Goddess Selene and her first child was what we call a Lycan our wolf can be too strong enabling you to turn back into your human form, but then sometimes in very rare cases their wolf can be too weak and doesn’t awaken on your birthday or at all.

“Hey, he will be ok, he’s tougher than he looks.” My sister Quinn speaks from the doorway.

I turn around from my bedroom window to look at her.

“Yea, I just feel like mum and dad should be here is all.” I say walking over to give her a hug.

“True but like they said ‘we have to look out for each other now’ and I know you will do a good job, for what it’s worth I believe in you
