Forty Seven

Lily's POV:

The first time I woke up, it was around 3 am. I looked around adjusting my vision until I saw who was in front of me. I don't know why, but every limb of mine blew out a sigh in relief when I saw his face. Maybe because a part of me thought that he would go away.

But he didn't, which was good.

I placed my fingertips on his face before moving them up in his hair, enjoying the feel of it. He furrowed his eyebrows unconsciously as if tensed about something.

How can he possibly be tensed about something when he's sleeping?

I smiled and snuggled closer into him, placing my head on his chest as he tightened his arms around me. I closed my eyes with the comforting sound of him breathing just beside me.

The next time I woke up, it was pretty much the morning. And this time, Ace was all wide awake, tracing small circles on my back. I pulled away a little and looked up at him. He stared back at me, his eyes shining like he just saw something precious.
