SHREYA'S POV :

Fortunately, the road was clear, and I did not arrive late today.

We've arrived at our office's canteen to eat lunch. We include Neha (my good friend), Rahul (my friend), and Ansh bhaiya (he acts like a big brother and protects me, so I call him bhaiya). He genuinely cares about me and is always willing to assist me. With a single glance, he can tell what I'm thinking. And console me in a way that no one else could) and, of course, me. They are my office friends, and even though they are all seniors to me, they make me feel at ease here. I thought moving to a new city would be difficult, but these three gems made everything simple.

I couldn't hear what they were saying because I was preoccupied with my food. Neha has an idea completely out of the blue. As she began to speak, my gaze was drawn to her.

"Hey guys, it's Friday today, and we can go to the club tonight, what do you think?"

My eyes widened, and the spoon fell from my grasp.

"Yes, I'm in," Rahul said cheerfully. He appeared to be more excited than Neha.

"I'm sorry, guys, but I won't be able to join you because I have some work." Ansh bhaiya said, pouting his lips.

"I'm sorry from my end as well." I said, raising my hands.

"Can you tell us why?" Rahul inquired, cocking one brow.

"I.....I....I"

"Yes, yes, we are listening to what you have to say." Neha inquired sarcastically. Three sets of eyes were trained on me, waiting for me to say something.

"I need to get somewhere else." I smiled to hide my lie, but I know I failed miserably.

They began to laugh at my shedding.

"Oh little one, you don't even know how to lie," bhaiya pointed out. He refers to me as "little one" because I am the youngest of the group.

And I bowed my head in shame.

"So it's final, we're going to the club tonight." Neha burst out laughing.

"But..." I added.

"No more ifs or buts, Shreya. It is final, and we will not listen to any of your excuses this time. And one more thing: you're not going home. You're coming with me after work!"

I opened my mouth to protest, but she cut me off again.

"Don't worry, I'll talk to Auntiji, but she won't say anything." I closed my mouth as quickly as I opened it. She's left me with no choice.

"OK, I'm ready to go to the club, but not to your house, please," I begged.

"No way, you're not going in your tomboy outfit. I'll get you ready tonight "She gave a wink.

"Please say something to her, Bhaiya. Thank you "I made a puppy face with tears in my eyes because this trick always works for him.

"It's all right, Shreya, try to get out of your comfort zone."

He was my last hope, and if my savior isn't there to help me, no one can.

I'm afraid I have to agree with them.

Urghhhhhh.

————————-

We arrived at Neha's house at 7:00 p.m.; it has been an hour, and Neha is still unsure what to wear. Ugh. She comes from a wealthy family and spends all of her money on herself. But she is down to earth and not conceited about her position. She is only doing the job to pass the time. Furthermore, because she has a boyfriend and only wants to marry him, this is a way for her to avoid marriage proposals.

"SHREYA!" screamed Neha.

"Oh my God, Neha, you scared me," I said, placing my hand over my heart.

"Sorry, but take a look at this. It will look fantastic on you "She spun a dress in front of my eyes that ended before it began.

"No, Neha, I'm not going to wear this, it's too short," I scrunched up my nose.

"Did you think I'd give you a suit or a lehenga to wear?" Her brow furrowed.

"Don't make me do it, Neha; this dress is really short. You already know how much I dislike clubs and parties, and this dress will make me feel even more uneasy."

"We're here to make you feel at ease," she said, placing her hand on my shoulder.

"YOU," I rolled my eyes, "do you remember the last time you abandoned me and went off with your boyfriend without telling me?"

"Okay, so now you have three options," she said, changing the subject.

"Fortunately, I have a choice in something," she chuckled.

I went through the dresses and chose the one with the longest train. It was a red asymmetrical dress with a round neck that fit my body perfectly. She curled my hair and presented me with a simple jerkin bracelet and a pair of light earrings to wear. I applied my usual light makeup.

She was dressed in a lovely white gown with a black design on it.

And when we arrived at the club at 9 p.m., Rahul was waiting for us with bated breath.

"What were you doing?" he inquired.

"You know, we got stuck in traffic," Neha lied, and I gave her a look.

Rahul took my hand in his and looked me in the eyes, saying, "You are looking beautiful today." I simply smiled at the compliment.

"Rahul, she's always beautiful; now let go of her hand, you're making her uncomfortable." Neha grabbed my hand and dragged me into the club.

I'm not sure why, but I sometimes feel uneasy around Rahul. Despite the fact that he is a true gentleman in person. Nonetheless.

I shook my head to clear my mind of all the unnecessary thoughts and entered the club.

I'm not sure what surprises await me inside!
