Cold Anger

Vincent parked his car in the driveway trying to fight the weariness that was creeping up on him and steeling himself to go into the dark silent house once again.

Before Aira moved in, he never thought about returning to his townhouse while empty as something tedious. Now it was something he dreaded.

Looking up, he spotted Aira’s black beetle parked in front of the house and he perked up hurrying up the stairs and opening the door.

He entered the house and spotted Aira on the counter through the dark, then looked down at her luggage by the door.

“You’re really here. I saw your car.” He said then added, “Did you need something?” Wondering why she needed this much luggage in the first place.

He stepped inside removing his tie and he looked back at the luggage still thinking about the luggage. He was already having a hard time without her, if she tells him that she was prolonging her stay at her grandmother’s he was going to ask her to let him stay with them.
