Chapter 1: The Baddest Werewolf

The Royal Crimson Bar lived up to its reputation. Creatures of the night and humans mingled as they raised their drinks to the air and danced to the beat of the bustling music.

The night hasn't yet reached its peak but humans flocked to this place without regard to the safety code the World Government established to protect them from the creatures of the night.

Fifty years ago, the world dramatically changed after a phenomenon struck it with the revelation that the creatures of the night really exist and not some type of fiction that could be read in novels.

It all happened in one single night. There was no struggle between the military and the creatures of the night. The government couldn't stop it. Stop them. They were so strong, powerful, and intelligent, that even presidents of every state and country willingly resigned and gave up their position to these creatures of the night.

Thus, the humans could only swallow their own loss and surrender the place they ruled for over hundreds of years to the new rulers.

Unlike how humans feared being enslaved by the new rulers, the creatures who now ruled over the world didn't dabble in pleasure of slavery that many humans did in the past but that didn't mean no vampires or shifters like to privately enjoy these entertainment.

But there were still some vampires and werewolves who dabbled in that business, but in plain sight because of their ruling Lord or Master.

Athena walked around the bar, looking to her right and left. Looking to see anyone who would dare come to her with a killing intent.

Her long silver hair was braide in the back, swaying with her as she turned her head. She hated her hair for being too obvious. A long time ago, her friend told her to dye it but the dye in her hair didn't even last a minute when it turned back again to its original color. It didn’t really do her any good when everyone could easily recognize her because of her hair.

Her amber eyes showed little glint as she squinted it, scanning for whoever looked like the description of her employer.

Ever since she became a hunter, many people occasionally mistaken her for being a bounty hunter but her job wasn't as easy as chasing after runaway criminals and thieves.

Her job was more badass and according to her job title; a 'Creature Huntress' she hunts Vampires and Werewolves who turned rogue.

There weren't many Creature Hunters in the world, humans were too scared to go against those creaturest they were supposed to hunt. But being one doesn't mean going against them since their employers usually come from the same category they hunted.

From the corner of her eyes, she saw a huge man that looked like a bouncer in a suit. He stood in front of the entrance of the VIP area and when their eyes met, he suddenly cocked his head, gesturing to her to follow him.

She followed him inside the VIP area and entered into a tunnel-like hallway. The bustling noise from earlier disappeared completely when the doors closed behind them, and only their footsteps could be heard, as it went against the concrete floor. It was a completely different world.

At first glance, the hallway was like a tunnel with no lights but when the door closed, the lamps in the wall started to light up as they walked and illuminated the hallway, revealing the walls that turned out to be one-way mirrors.

Even though there were only two of them walking in the corridor, Athena could feel the hair in the back of her head standing up as several eyes started to watch her.

However, because of the mirror obscuring her from seeing their identities, she could only close her eyes to feel them.

Vampires. Werewolves. Too many of them.

They seemed to have crowded the entire place but it made her realize something. Aside from the bouncer, no human was inside. Meaning, the VIP area was exclusively for the Creatures of the Night.

She opened her eyes once more and looked at the back of the bouncer as she felt for the dagger strapped against her hips. She was ready to face any dangers and ready to slit any creature's neck when an attack occurred.

"You don't have to be so on guard. No one will hurt you here" She heard the bouncer.

Athena shook her head even though he couldn’t see her, "I can't do that. Not when my head is at stake here."

The bouncer nodded his head. Perhaps, he empathize with her.

When they first entered the tunnel, Athena didn't feel any ill-intent oozing from the vampires and shapechangers hiding in the one-way mirror. They were only watching her.

But that also didn't give her comfort. Having them watch her like a toy or prey didn't sound too great.

However, showing them that she was intimidated by their presence irked her. So, she put her hands down, "So, can I have my employer's name?"

"You can... When you meet 'him'."

"Thank you." Athena said after getting a very helpful answer from him.

If she wasn't inside this place, she would've smacked his head and forced him to tell her what he knew.

The bouncer had a huge physique and through his suit that looked too small for him, she could tell that he hit the gym everyday. Probably, more than he needed considering how his suit was straining every time he moved.

They suddenly stopped in front of a huge mirror that started from the ceiling to the floor. The bouncer knocked on it twice before it opened.

Streams of light blinded her as the door opened wider, and it took her a few seconds to adjust to the brightness. When she could finally see clearly, she saw a room with only a table and two chairs inside.

She expected to see the other creatures gawking at her like they did earlier when she was in the tunnel, but there was only one person sitting in one of the chairs.

Motherf**cker. Alexander .

No, shit. It was the baddest and most ruthless werewolf in the world. There were some talks behind the pine trees about him, but she would rather talk about it later, now that she cannot let her guard down in front of him.

Just from the sight of him, Athena stood rooted and alarm signs started ringing in her head, telling her to run away.

'Bang!'

However, before she could even run, the door behind her closed with a loud thud, making her lightly jump. The bouncer who has always been by her side was gone and only two people were left inside the room.

Athena looked wide eyed at the man sitting calmly in front of the table spread with delicious food. Yum, if she was being threatened with just this man’s presence, she might have already filled her mouth with whatever is on that table.

"Why don't you sit?" The voice sounded too deep and dripping with sex.

Suddenly, a desire of lust creeped underneath her cold facade and she quickly banished it to the deepest part of her mind.

Athena inhaled the air to her system. She tried to stop the blush creeping to her cheeks. When she opened her eyes, the swirl of pleasure she was feeling disappeared, leaving only a cold still water inside.

However, she didn't sit.

She feared that the moment she got closer to him, he would smell her desire without any screens covering her own embarrassment. She could only blame herself for being deprived of sexual contact with the oppsite sex since that night...

"No, thank you." She rejected him, "I prefer standing."

She saw him raise a brow and the corner of his lips rising into a smirk, "I didn't know you have such preference. Duly noted."

Athena gaped at him.

How could he take her words as an innuendo? She was politely rejecting him because of her own reasons but who would have thought he would use her own words as such?
