I waited patiently for my cousin to return with news of how the meeting went. I had sent her to spy on Trevor and the elders, so she could tell me what was going on.

A few minutes later, she knocked on my door. I rushed to open it and let her in, “What's the update?” I asked, searching her face.

“I don't know how you would take it but…” she began, making me impatient.

“Go straight to the point!” I yelled, causing her to jolt.

“Yes?” I asked, impatiently.
