Chapter 23

"Uh...you can take the room upstairs, beside mine. Here, give me your bag. I will help you." He says extending his hand to take my bag. But I guess, Bambi has some other plans with him since he opens his mouth and snaps at me the minute he comes near.

"Ahh! What...what is he doing?" Darin stutters out, scared. And I almost chuckle at that.

"Aey, Bambi! No, he is our friend. Don't need to snap at him." I say as I adjust him in my arms by facing towards me. "Darin, it is okay! I will manage with it. And, sorry about Bambi's behavior. You know, the reptile thing. They are actually good with humans but just don't get along with everyone, especially strangers." I explain and all he does is nod at me while still training his beautiful yet cautious emerald greens on Bambi who is now cool but is also staring at Darin with his head tilted slightly. Curious!
