It was finally the d-day, everyone has woken up early and had waited excruciatingly for evening to come and now they were ready. The air was bustling with the excitement and tension the fight would bring. Something in Alyssia snapped like a cackle, she could see Clarissa coming at her in slow motion, she could see Kristen, Nacen, Jake and Kevin shouting their warnings, their faces etched with fear for her. Her eyes stayed on Nacen who was already making his way towards her despite the people who tried to hold him. He cared about her, her friends cared about her and she also cared about her friends who were like a family to her. She looked at Clarissa. She suddenly realized she cared about her. Something told her that she had to be free, she had to help her, free her. Her eyes suddenly turned red and silted like that of the time when her dragon first manifested.
