5 She is his substitute mate

The queen mother finally walks in, announcing the opening of the ceremony and she encourages them to Enjoy the moment as they go in search of their mate.

Everyone clapped and cheered, all happy at the given opportunity, they thank their queen mother for being this reasonable, unlike her son who never for once thought of holding the mate bond ceremony.

Meera goes around happily with the hope of finding her mate soon she stopped when she inhaled the scent of a strawberry. The scent is so tempting that she is tempted to follow the scent from Afar until she gets to a stop in front of Beta Austin, she stares at him. smiling sheepishly, Beta Austin smiled back awkwardly, his thought different from hers, he watched as Meera takes a step closer to him making him shift backward.

Alpha Kevan was shocked when the scent of his mate came from her. He watched her in horror and once again fate had dealt so badly with him for pairing him up with the same Girl who made his first mate Betray him.

Beta Austin turns to walk away leaving Meera alone with Alpha Kevan. Meera sensed that the scent of strawberry is from Alpha Kevan and she stood dead at her track both in a staring competition.

The queen mother watches them from afar enjoying the beautiful moment. She smiles looking at the confused people who were just standing and staring at each other with either of them willing to say a word.

Meera battled with her tears, she just for once wished it was not true that Alpha Kevan was never her mate and all was just her imagination or perhaps one of her dream. She taps herself repeatedly wishing this was a dream. She looks at Alpha Kevan one more time. She slowly takes a step backward until she was, sure enough, she is far from him and running back to the chamber.
