The guard who is known by the name James falls to the ground and instinctively reaches for his nose, which is now leaking blood.
It is clearly broken.“James, what the hell?” Robert speaks to him in anger and shock.“Among all the people I hired, you were the one I least expected to do some crap like this!” He adds.His chest heaves up and down as he speaks. I gently jerk my arm from his grip and he folds his arms on his chest.“It’s nothing, I got hurt in a car crash.” I tell him casually and he looks at me with unbelief.“Jen, what the hell?” He speaks in a worried tone.He tries to take my arm in his grip again so he can get a better look at the wound, but I don’t allow him to.He lets out a sigh.“Tell me what happened then.” He says like a parent, and I fight the urge to laugh.“I was involved in a car crash with Chad a few hours ago.” I say, my voice breaking slightly when I mention my best friend’s name.“Oh, Jen.” Robert says as he tries to pull me in for a hug, but I push him away.“Where is Chad now?” He asks me, avoiding the fact that I just pushed him away from me.“In the hospital.” I say in a small voice.“I should have been the one. I should be the one in the induced coma right now.” I say and I can’t hold back my tears anymore.

“Jennifer Davis.” The person says my full name.“What are you doing here?” I ask her as I narrow my eyes at her. The way he says it causes a light feeling of fear to choke me.“What’s in the box, Robert?” I ask him and he holds his mouth in horror.I decide to investigate and I walk towards the opened box on the bed.
