Thirty Five

As Anna closed the door that led to Drake’s office, she replayed the earlier moment in her head and something inside her wondered if the man was doing fine.

“Ugh, I’m sure he is,” she spoke out instantly , shaking her head to get rid of that thing that was trying to act like she cared about the man.

Soon, she was downstairs, her bag slung over her shoulder, her feet tapping the ground gently as she walked slowly so as not to worsen her injury.

After a quick and satisfactory look around the space, Anna made for the elevator and soon, she was on the streets, waiting to flag down a taxi.

Once she got one, she resumed her journey to her house, thoughts about lying in bed for the rest of the day raiding her mind and delighting her.

And, she really needed the rest.
