Chapter 37: In for a penny

The next morning, I woke up to the sound of the doorbell ringing. Rubbing my eyes, I stumbled out of bed and made my way downstairs, wondering who could be calling at this hour.

When I opened the door, I was surprised to see my father standing there, accompanied by a team of cleaners.

"Morning, son," my father said, his tone casual. "I thought I'd come over and help you clean up the mess you made last night."

My eyes widened in shock as I took in the scene before me. My father had hired cleaners to tidy up the house after my outburst. I felt anger bubbling up inside me.

"Dad, what are you doing here?" I asked, my voice tight.

His father sighed, looking tired. "I know you're upset, but we can't just leave the house like this. We need to clean up the mess before it gets any worse."

I shook my head, feeling a sense of betrayal. "But Dad, she's the one who started all of this. She's the one who drove me to this point. Why are you giving in to her demands?"
