Chapter 30

Elina 

“Ugh.” I groan as I struggle to climb the wall. I should have paid more attention when mom gave me teleportation lessons, but I ignored her because I believed I would never need to teleport.  Man was I wrong; I had to borrow mom's teleportation talisman to get here earlier. I only have three uses and already used one, so I'm saving the other two in case of an emergency.

I Groan, hanging on to the vine almost at the top. I know Xavier says he doesn’t want my help, but I can’t just go home while he confronts the man who murdered his father alone. Although his pack is with him, I still want to support him. I know I'm pathetic, but one day of dreaming isn't bad. Is it?  Tomorrow, he'll be someone else's mate, but for tonight I want to be by his side.
