Allie's POV

I shoved Aaron away with excess force and sprang out of the bed. My heart was pounding loudly to the extent that I was feeling it in my ears. "Samantha dear" I called calmly and gorged on an amount of saliva that had made its way to my throat.

"Uncle Aaron was only making an effort to help with the dirt that stuck in my nose…, hm...mm eyes'' I stammered to the little girl whose back was to my view.

I have never been in such a situation before. I spared a glance at Aaron who had an amused expression on his face. He tried to stifle a laugh. I glared at him at the same time silently signaling to him for assistance but he shakes his head in objection.

"Look at me," I demanded. She veered around and slowly removed her palms from her face. "Why did you rush in after you had promised me not to repeat the same thing?" I tried another way.

"Nanny wouldn't let me come see you so I had her summon daddy for another reason. I grabbed the opportunity to ask about you a
