Ch 115: It's you

“I’d be back to pick you up when you’re done.” Boss Vicker announced as he watched his little wife stepping out of the car. She nodded, plastering a smile on her face that made his heart feel at peace.

Waving her off, they watched her disappear into the house before Vicker ordered his driver to move toward the office. After a few seconds of driving, Boss Vicker suddenly squinted angrily, calling out to him, “Kabir…”

“Mom… Mom… Mother…” Celeste called out a few times, roaming the house, searching for her mother. The servants told her that her mother was at home, hence, she knew exactly where to search for her.

She dashed out of the hall, her steps heavy and hasty, as she kept repeating to herself, “It’s downright impossible. This isn’t happening.”

Celeste suddenly spotted Magdalene sitting relaxedly on a lush wooden chair in the enormous garden of the Grayson family. It was big enough to house hundreds of people; one of Magdalene Grayson’s favorite spots in the whole mansion.
