Ch 63: Leave

“You took long enough, Lulu.”

Boss Vicker acknowledged her as soon as she stepped into his office. On the day she was interviewed for the job, he happened to chance upon the application in the Human Resource Director’s office. Captivated by her pure smile, he requested the man to employ the young lady because she had a beautiful and contagious smile.

However, the person standing before him didn’t have as much as a figment of the smile that drew him to her. After suffering a mild stroke, the forty-five-year-old man had to travel outside the country, away from the prying eyes of his children and other stressful factors that could hinder his full recovery.

Boss Vicker was able to sail through the sickness in an unknown land because his mind was filled with the beautiful smile of a young lady. Now, he returned and rushed over to Hidden Gem Entertainment, only for the reason for his smile to be completely downcast and sad.

Gone were the beautiful smiles that made his days.
