Chapter 54

They returned to the city. Vincent thought that Lalaine would be far away from him permanently. But it's just his belief. Unfortunately, the couple stayed at their house.

"Why are they still here? When are they going home?" he asked Romana in a whisper as they reached the house.

Apart from the fact that they don't have privacy when the two are around, another reason is that he will surely continue to be lured by Lalaine if she's everywhere.

Romana held his arm and thoroughly whispered. "Roman begged me for them to pause here for one more month. He wants to be with us for a bit before he pays back to United States."

He did not react. One month is too long. A lot can happen in a month.

"Just a month, Baby. I didn't spend time with him when we were kids, so I expect you'll let me."
