Chapter 66. The She Wolf

"Wake up! Chelsey, the bus taking you to the South is already here for pick up!"

My eyes automatically opened to see my mother with her face angry like always when she wakes me up almost every morning. After I finished my two-year vocational course in college, I came back to work with my mother in the Royal pack. I thought my life would be different than the rest of the wolves that serve the Alpha family but I was wrong.

"Why so early?"

I let out a big yawn and began to remove the clothes that I wore to sleep. My father was a warrior but he died in one of the battles in the Royal pack. Wolves are violent, I never liked to become one. My first coming-of-age transformation was painful and I began to have to hunt for food.

"You have less than fifteen minutes to take a shower, Chelsey! Don't let the Alpha King be disappointed in us. We are lucky that you get to work in the South, our family will get paid twice. Remember that your brother has kids to send to school."
