Musou Foundations

"I'd give you my rules according to the matter at hand as we spend time together" Alicia said, slightly cocking her head as she flipped one leg over the other.

"Understood" Blake answered unshaken by her demeanor.

"Good, I understand that you are new to the castle and it's ways and i trust you can figure that out with independent effort," Alicia said as she rose up from her seat walking out of the pallavion "Your room would be two doors away from mine, be sure to report to me hourly"

"Yes Alicia"

She turned, her hands in the front pockets of her shorts, and gave Blake a frigid smile.

"I look forward to my days with you" She said before leaving for her Chambers.

---

Three days had passed since Blake arrived at the castle yet he hadn't been called upon by Alicia nor had he seen her in person. He used this opportunity to get familiar with how the Castle functioned, it's numerous buildings, escape routes, and timed schedule. He had access to every place but the east wing with the King's Chambers and the dungeon.

Though he expected the castle to be different from his past surroundings, he found it a bit weird. First, even if there was really nothing threatening around, the workers always seemed to be more afraid and alert than necessary, it was as if they were being watched and if they messed up doom awaited.

Just like the King had done on the day he arrived, every individual had also tried exerting their dominance on him, even maids weren't left out, and when they did and failed to cause effect, they cowered and hurriedly left his presence.

It also came to his notice that the castle was devoid of Lords or any other entities of great power besides Sir Erwin. Even with the numerous guards and servants the place always seemed eerily desolate which seemed highly unnatural for a castle.

He strolled to the edge of the window in his rather large room as he looked beyond the castle walls, into the dense woods.

"Just what is going on?".

*Wait at my door, I'd address you in five*

Blake flinched as she intruded his thoughts, he had almost forgotten about the mind contract they had. Come to think of it if he didn't have a strong mind she would have probably heard all of what he thought, literally being an open book. He needed to be careful.

*Yes, Alicia*

He grabbed his coat off the wall mount and left the room quietly closing the door behind him. Wearing his coat as he sauntered towards Alicia's door, he heard a little bit of commotion coming from within, making him wonder what she was doing at the time.

With a clack of the door, Alicia came out exactly after five minutes as she had told him, wearing a brown trench coat over her clothes and black snow boots, rolling a large suitcase right behind her.

"Let me help you with that," Blake said as he took the trolley handle from her hands.

"Thanks, follow me"

Alicia led Blake out of the castle with fast paced steps, like she couldn't wait to leave the area. A chauffeured limo was already on standby to get her to her destination. They got in and she ordered the chauffeured to drive.

Blake wondered where they were headed to. Wherever it was, it made Alicia happy, as she had heaved a sigh of relief upon entering the Limousine. She looked out the window and for the first time she had been with Blake, smiled genuinely.

"You can just talk instead of staring at me, It's getting weird," Alicia said turning her eyes from the window

"Your face wears a lot of questions it would be a lot better for me if you were more outspoken"

"Where are we headed for?" Blake asked.

"Musou foundations," Alicia replied as she effortlessly uncorked a champagne chugging it down straight from the bottle.

Blake was taken aback by her unruly behavior, she was so different from how conducted herself back from the Castle. Was it even possible to drink champagne that way?. This change ….. was weirdly attractive.

"Want some?" She offered, shoving the half empty bottle at his face.

"No thanks," Blake replied, still in shock from what had just happened.

"Ugh, such a killjoy, I was expecting a friendly drinking competition on the drive, a woman gots to hold her liquor hmmm" She rattled in disappointment.

"I'd just drink with Ian back at the foundation" She added as she drank the rest in a go.

Mouso foundations, it was both a hotel and office if that makes sense. It was like a general base for vampire nobles and the likes, for work and relaxation generally for the younger generation. It was a haven for vampires who wanted to be liberated from responsibility and the best place for concentrating on paper work. Blake assumed that Alicia's visit was for the latter.

Once more Alice stared out the open window, her eyes seemed not to focus on anything in particular

"Hmph… such fallacy" She muttered as her face turned sour.

We arrived in an hour. Stepping out as the cold air hit their faces as Blake helped bring the lugged out. The large skyscraper-like building in front of them was brimming with life...well basically.

It's exterior wasn't too fancy, but one could tell it's material and decor were well thought of and were of high quality.

Room service took the luggage off me, cordially greeting Alicia. We walked past the lobby into a very large dining hall - that was the thing with vampires they loved eating together on a table,it was a time when they could recount their ordeals, gossip, publicly abuse their "pets" and make mockery of humans.

It was relatively empty besides the guy who sat at the extreme holding a wine glass and a bottle of human blood which read "Type B" drinking it in a quite particular way. There was also a crate with two bottles missing which Blake assumed was also filled with blood.

Turning to meet my eyes, he held a wide grin.

"Took you long enough, for the first time I thought that i was gonna finish this alone," He said as he stood up, swinging the bottle in the air.

Who was this guy, that he could talk to Alicia, freely without fear of losing his head. A noble perhaps.

Nahh.

It couldn't be just any noble. According to the rumours Alicia didn't get along well with people she seemed lesser than her, including most nobles in the making. This person must be a close acquaintance.

"You wish, gimme that" Alicia said, yanking the bottle of his hands and chugging on it as she had done on the champagne earlier, giving an sexy orgasmic like expression when she was done.

"I guess, I now know who hypes her up to drink like that" Blake thought slightly worried about how much this guy had influenced Alicia and in what ways.

"Annnnd that's why you aren't allowed to take blood type B back at the castle, you should have seen your face, looking like you were simping on drugs" He said as he ran his hands through her hair.

"Shut the fuck up, Ian" Alicia replied as she wriggle her head out of his hands, playfully pushing him back on his seat as she pulled out a chair sitting right beside him.

Ian looked up to meet Blake's unsettlingly calm gaze.

"Oh we have fresh meat!!!. A new bodyguard, how long is this one gonna last Alicia" He said grinning mischievously like a Cheshire cat.

"Ugh, it's just another one of my dad's many attempts to keep tabs on me, ignore him" Alicia replied disinterested in the topic.

Reaching down into the crate on the floor, Ian drew out another bottle of blood this time it was labeled "Blood Type 0" with a little inscription at the corner of the label that read "negative".

Carefully placing it on the table, he uncorked it with ease pouring the concentrate liquid into a wine glass, his hands quivered in ecstasy as he struggled to keep his grip. Alicia stared intensely as he poured, watching over each drip like her life depended on it, simultaneously putting great effort into restraining herself from snatching the bottle.

This was what "Blood Type 0" did to Vampires, it was like a drug but a "good drug". This blood type had a scent which brought out monstrosity in vampires and a celestial taste stronger than ancient wine. It wasn't easy for any vampire to keep their composures in its presence, if it was any regular vampire they would have started acting like drunks right from the scent, it took great efforts to remain sane with the blood type. It's a good thing that it was only sparingly available for the nobles.

It came to a trickling stop. Ian carefully replaced the Cork and returned it to the crate.

"Here, drink this, it's a welcome gift" Ian said with a sly grin, as he attached out his hands with the blood on it.

"Why is he suddenly offering me this type of blood?" Blake thought.

Suddenly it hit him, so this was how they made an excuse to execute the bodyguards before him, serving them blood which they clearly knew could make them go crazy and commit vile actions.

How naive Ian was, Blake was only human in a clever disguise of a vampire, even if he drank it, it would cause no effect on him.

"No thanks" Blake replied with a monotonous voice.

"What?" Ian and Alicia exclaimed synchronously.

"Whoa, what kind of vampire rejects blood, talk more of it being "Blood Type 0" ?" Ian asked as his face lost it's colour.

"I'm not interested," Blake replied, satisfied with their expressions.

"Well I command you to drink it" Ian pestered.

"I don't take orders from you," Blake retorted.

Alicia silently watched the convo, her expression unreadable.

A blood vessel could be seen threatening to pop on Ian's forehead, he was pissed.

"Do you know who I am?" Ian hissed as the atmosphere suddenly became tense.

He impulsively threw the cup on the floor causing a rather loud shattering sound it broke into a million pieces as blood was splattered all over the place, making a mess.

Blake felt like he was losing brain cells dealing with this arrogant pest.

"Whoever you are , whatever tittle you hold i don't care, and I beg you don't play the death threats card, if you have a problem with me, i'd advice you sort that out with the Lord"

"Are you threatening me?!!!" Ian's voice thundered across the lobby.

Nobody outside or in seemed to care about what was going on,were they used to this kind of situation that they weren't even bordered to check?

"Whatever floats your boat"

"What of me, would you listen to me?" Alicia asked in a serious tone.

"I am sorry Alicia,I only take orders from the king," Blake answered sincerely.

Alicia looked very disappointed, like she had lost an Ally of some sort. Seeing her pitiful expression Blake felt like his heart was being squeezed, he didn't know why he felt like this, feeling like a let down but in reality there was really nothing he could do to help the case.

Ian exerted dominance upon Blake, and for the first time someone besides the King could have an effect on him. Barely keeping his composeture , Blake tried to maintain a cold, nonchalant expression, then faltered at the last minute as he fell on one knee with his hands on his chest as he coughed out blood, trying to catch this breath.

Ian's expression changed into a smirk seeing Blake struggle. He let out a heartfelt laughter approaching him.

"That's the longest anyone has been able to withstand me" He said, placing a hand on Blake's shoulder, relieving him.

"Hah, I like this one," Ian declared.

"Yeah, for once Dad didn't hire a slob" Alicia chipped in.

"Welcome in Blake" He said, giving out his hands for a handshake.

Blake took it with a smile … It was all a test. But what for?.

"Thanks"

"Well I got to hurry now, Count Zed is going to have my head on a platter if I arrive late again" Ian said running out to the lobby.

"Don't have fun without me!!" He added not giving them time to reply.

Alicia smiled.

"Let's go," She said signalling with her hand.

Blake followed her into the elevator still feeling guilty about his answer. He wanted to speak but decided against it.

Alicia pressed the button to the second floor. It hummed and vibrated a bit followed by the creaking sounds of the unoiled and neglected cables, as it started moving up the building.

It felt like an eternity as awkward, stifling silence filled the atmosphere.Standing a few centimeters apart from each other, one could feel the tension.

It was getting unbearable, Alicia took out her Android phone proceeding to scroll through her Instagram feed.

With a ding sound the sturdy silver doors of the elevator slid open as they had reached their destination. It was a sub penthouse.

"This is our room" Alicia announced.
