Galen’s POV

“They did what?!’’ The phone against my ear felt heavy as I struggled to listen.

“You have to get down here. They won't listen to me. They’re questioning me.’’

“I'm coming.’’ I hung up the phone before picking up my car keys. My father was already running behind me, calling out my name.

“I don't understand what they're doing but I'm not going to let them.’’

“I’ll go with you.’’ father said as we both entered the car. This whole thing was a roller coaster on a downward slope.

“You already asked me that question.” I Shrugged.

“And you're not giving me the answer I want to hear.”

“Well, I'm sorry detective, but you're not going to bully me into taking responsibility for a murder I did not commit. Jessie was my best friend and I loved her.”

“But you were jealous of her, weren’t you?’’

“What?!’’ I was shocked.

“Come on, Miss Olivia... We are both adults here, and you may have the whole world fooled but I can see through you and your husband's act.
