Contingency worked, hunt failed

Danté sat up in the sinking car, his seatbelt still held him in, looking at his watch he set a timer and let it run, five minutes, he could almost hold his breath that long.

Werewolves won't follow him into a river right? His training told him Vampires definitely won't, but Villa is a scary case, she's not the best for nothing, hopefully she'd abandon this hunt like the good mother she is and get Rebecca to safety.

If he could sigh he would, the car came to a rest on its nose, then collapsed onto its wheels, he unbuckled and climbed out clutching his heavy kit bag, throwing it over his shoulders he started to mush through the slimy tire spilled and rubbished river floor.
