Chapter 49: Or Die Trying.

Aurora POV

Waking up slowly to the distant sound of chatter, I opened my eyes, ignoring the thumping behind my eyes, to see I was back in the room I had occupied for the last god knows how long but no longer chained to the radiator. The plush feeling of warmth and comfort under my back told me I was on the bed, and the ache in my arms and legs alerted me to the fact I was restrained.

Quietly attempting to pull my legs, I felt fear prickle the back of my neck; realising I was tied at each ankle, I knew I would find each arm stretched in place, too.

'Great!' I muttered inwardly sulkily.

"Really?" I heard Ava's voice rattle through my head, confused.

"Ava!" I gasped, feeling the overwhelming sense of hopelessness evaporate. "Shit, am I glad to hear your voice!" I groaned.

"Aww love ya too, Aurora!" She chimed with a slight chuckle. I could sense she wasn't at full power, but anything was better than nothing right now.
