Chapter seventy six

Claire opened her eyes slowly. She was greeted by the sunlight that was streaming into the room. Her head throbbed with such intensity.

A low moan escaped her parted lips. She tried to recollect her thoughts. But they came out in a jumbled mess. Sitting up, she liked the room in which she was placed in. It was her room. And it reminded her of Alexander.

How long had she been out? Memories of the previous came back slowly. How had she lost consciousness? She remembered Abigail taking her to help with her room. And that was the last she remembered.
