Chapter 59 Exhausted

The entire time the doctors administer Arah her medicines, Luther remains quiet at the side, calmly watching. His grim disposition did not affect the procedure despite the anxiousness of the team towards him.

He remains with his unremarkable propensity while watching. And without a word, he brought her inside their room after it was finished. His head is filled with thoughts he tries to set aside at the moment.

Arah left him in his silence but was startled when he tightly hug her after they enter the bedroom.

"I'm sorry I was not by your side when it happened" he whispers while buried in her neck.

"I was fine, Riley, my brother, kept me safe. He protected me from those hooligans" she assured him.

"You have a brother?" moving away to look at her, he asks.

"Yes. He is fifteen" she smiles upon remembering Riley.

"He is a great kid" he smiles seeing the fondness in her eyes.

"Yes, he is. If not for him, it could have been worse" she nods.

"I should meet him and your family" he mumbles.
