CHAPTER 20 THE VERDICT

The phone rang early in the morning at Jaqueline's cabin: "Jaqueline, can you please come over to my office? "I need to speak with you," Captain Magnus said solemnly. "Hi, Carl, "Good morning, what is it all about?" Jaquie asked the captain, innocently, but she had a feeling it was about the incident last night with Annika and the lost keys.

"Please come right now; I have extremely important things to talk about with you," the captain said. He doesn't sound very cheerful that morning. He must manage this situation in a fair and non-harmful manner. He had all of the footage he had obtained from yesterday night's CCTV inspection. And he has solid evidence of where the keys are.

"Hi Carl, good morning, what's going on?" Jaquie inquired as he finally entered the captain's office. The captain did not respond to Jaquie's query, but he did direct her to sit in his office and wait for him. He reappeared, clutching some papers.
