“What are you staring at?” Daniella asked, waking me up from my dazzled state. She turned and her head, saw Heidi and turned back to look at me. “Is that her boyfriend?”

“No!” I didn’t mean to snap but I did. “Sorry for snapping.”

Heidi and Nate got to the spot we stood, and I held Heidi’s hand before she could walk by. “I want to speak to you.”

Heidi glanced at Daniella, back at me. “You were talking to your girlfriend, isn’t it? I’m going to class with Nate.”

“Can you just stay here for a while and allow him go to class on his own? He’s not a baby, and I’m sure he can find his way to his desk.” I replied, all the while, looking at Nate who scoffed at the end of my statement.

“Heidi might be your bestie, but that doesn’t mean she can’t talk with someone else.” Nate retorted.

I closed my eyes, willing myself to stay calm. “I need to speak with Heidi. Can you please continue your way to the class? She will join you very soon.” I was so pissed off.
