*Two days before the day*

" what is going on at the company?" Ashley was profusely questioning Carlos who claimed everything had been fine.

"Nothing, everything is fine ma'am " Carlos replied.

"This is the third time, are you going to keep lying?" Ashley folded her arms over her chest as Carlos drifted his eyes away.

"I'm not a kid, you can't keep lying. I know that something is up, "she added.

Carlos sucked in a deep breath.

"If the boss wanted you to know, I'm sure he would have told you. I don't want to disobey his orders. I'm sure he had his reasons."

"How is he going to know? Well, except you tell him" Ashley uttered, raising her brows.
