ICE’S POV:

I looked at the back of the old man and saw how he looked around the grocery store. I walked towards where he was standing and stopped beside him while he was still focused on looking around.

I observed his expression and smiled when I saw that it was full of excitement, as if this was the first time that he had come to a place he had been dying to enter. I sighed at this thought and looked at the old man gently.

I can’t help but feel sympathy for this man, but other than that, I could still say that they are somehow lucky to live in a peaceful and safe place, unlike mine.

“Grandpa, just get a basket and choose the things you need and want from this store. It’s on me,” I told him softly.

This made the old man turn his attention to me.

He smiled, “Okay, dear. Thank you so much.” He mumbled excitedly while getting a basket beside him.
