Zack’s POV

I kissed Freda goodbye at the door to her room. I took a minute to breath. That was a close one, I thought, I almost lost control of everything. I was very close to mating Freda. With how deep we are in our relationship, I would have marked her. I would have claimed her without her consent.

Although I want her so bad, I need to get it right. I want her to be ready for the next level. I am ready for the next phase of our relationship, but I need her to be so as well. I treasure what we have so much to loose it.

I walked towards my room which is right next to Freda’s room. A yawn escaped my lips. My body was a bit tired. From the picnic to the intense moment I and Freda had at her place, I needed a cool off.

A shower will do the job, I thought. I took off my jacket. Something fell off. Squinting, I wondered what it was that had fallen off. I saw it was a note. Reaching down to pick it up, I remembered Ruby slipped something into my pocket.
