Freda POV

As I slowly drift back to consciousness, the darkness seems to swallow me whole. My mind is a jumbled mess, and I can’t make sense of where I am or how I got here.

The only thing I remember is waiting for Khalid, but now I find myself in this eerie chamber, moving in God knows what direction.

The air is heavy, laden with an unsettling mix of dampness and dust. I strain my eyes, trying to adjust to the dim light, but all I see are the vague outlines of the chamber’s wooden walls.

There’s an earthy smell, and the faint scent of hay that hangs in the air, only adding to my confusion.

As my senses sharpen, I hear the distant sound of hooves, echoing through the chamber. The rhythmic thumping fills the air, blending with the creaking of the cart’s wheels. It’s as if I’m trapped inside a nightmare, a nightmare that’s all too real.
