**Evelyn**With a frown, I leaned close to the door, trying to listen to the conversation. Though I never wanted to eavesdrop on someone, something about his words left me wanting to hear more of the conversation. “I don’t want to listen to any excuses. **Ryan**I hesitated for a moment before placing my hand on the divine orb, my mind flashing back to the moment when I had done the same with my Evie. I shook off the memory and looked at the orb. Hearing the shouts of the warriors, I hesitated for a moment, torn between trying to find Evie and fighting the enemies.
