I tried calling Nova, but it turned out that the dead battery wasn't our only communication problem. It was next to impossible to call each other, and the text messages went through only occasionally. Apparently, in the pack organized by eighteenth-century rules, the need for a telephone signal or internet was minimal, or at least it worked like that within the packhouse. If it hadn't been for all the gold-soaked flooring, walls, and ceilings, I would have thought that I was now living in a fucking Mormon village.

Of course, the pack communicated just fine without phones or the internet; all they needed was a mind link. Not that it discriminated against all the wolfless creatures living within our pack's territory. My blood boiled again, but for now, I was helpless. All I could do was make a mental note to improve the signal as soon as I became an Alpha. But, could I become this pack's Alpha?

I love the story so much. The unexpected twists, not being able to predict your plot, the suspense is truly great. I am at the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next
